Between Shallows

As the being embodying the concept of Yin Yang it is your task to keep the balance of all universes.

But this task is more complex than it seems.
You for one can't stay in either state too long because it will break the balance.
But you also must be careful to observe the balance fluctuations of the world.
If you are in the Yin state, but there are Yang fluctuations it drains the energy of the Yin state.
The same in reverse for Yang.
So, it is not only your task to keep the states in balance, but also to keep each individual state in full energy.

Well, at least this is how it has been since the beginning of time... - Who knows what happens when the balance is lost.

This game is a kind of endless runner where you don't need to evade obstacles, or well you do, but not all. Play it yourself to find out more.

Controls:

• WASD or left up right down to move
• Space to toggle the own color
• P to pause the game
• ESC when leaving menus
• F11 toggle full screen

This was an entry to the alpha gamejam by the team Softwareentwicklereremiten (Softwaredevelopmenthermits, team consisted of 2 guys studying software development). The theme of the gamejam was Yin Yang and this game won the categories art and game design (considering judgement by the jury).
The gamejam was 48 long, during this Poromufflon worked exclusively on sound, and me exclusively on art and programming.
